Complimentary Hospitality Program

Tokyo Convention&Visitors Bureau offers several complimentary programs specially tailored to provide overseas registered participants with various experiences of Tokyo and its vicinity, from nature and culture to other attractions.

Tokyo City Tours

Free bus tours with an English-speaking guide will take you to the most popular sightseeing areas in Tokyo. Each tour begins and ends at the Keio Plaza Hotel Tokyo.

How to book

Please sign up for the tours at the “TOKYO CITY INFORMATION DESK” located near the registration area at the Keio Plaza Hotel Tokyo. Bookings are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Note: Tour desk will be opened at Noon, 6th (Mon) November.

Asakusa tour

Asakusa retains the atmosphere of the old Tokyo townscape, and Nakamise-dori, in front of Sensoji Temple, has many traditional crafts and Japanese sweets shops.

Tokyo night tour

This tour visits popular sightseeing spots like Tokyo Tower, Rainbow Bridge, Odaiba, Ginza, and TOKYO SKYTREE®, with impressive night views. You can enjoy a dynamic sightseeing experience that differs greatly from the daytime scenery.

Meiji Jingu Shrine and Harajuku

Meiji Jingu Shrine is located near Harajuku station. You can enjoy the fresh air of nature and the beautiful palace. There are worshipers from all over the country, and the number of worshipers at Hatsumode (the first visit to a shrine or temple in the new year) is the highest in Japan. The vast site of about 700,000 square meters is planted with about 100,000 trees collected from all over the country.

Asakusa & Tokyo River Cruise

Asakusa retains the atmosphere of the old Tokyo townscape, illustrated by Nakamise-dori in front of Sensoji Temple, with its many traditional crafts and Japanese sweets shops. After taking a walk in Asakura, enjoy a Tokyo River Cruise. This boat cruise down the Sumida River travels under some 14 bridges, showing the capital’s famous landmarks along the way.

The following complimentary cultural programs will be offered to allow participants to experience the unique culture of Japan first-hand.

Tea Ceremony Experience

Experience the tranquility of the Japanese Tea Ceremony, known as ‘Sadou’ or literally the way of tea. This historic custom goes back hundreds of years and is steeped in Japanese tradition and spirituality.

  • Only overseas delegates and accompanying persons can join these tours. 
  • Participants of the complimentary tours above may be photographed/filmed by an authorized photographer/cameraman for the purpose of our records and future promotion of Tokyo. By joining these tours, you agree that your image may be used in full / in part and distributed for the above-mentioned purposes.
